The purpose of the certificate verification feature on Third Sector Academy is to provide a way to authenticate and validate the certificates issued by the platform. This ensures that the certificates awarded are genuine and have been earned through the completion of the specified courses. It enhances the credibility and integrity of the certification process, giving charities, employers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders confidence in the qualifications of the certificate holders. 

• Authentication: It ensures that the certificates issued are genuine and have been awarded by the Third Sector Academy platform. This helps maintain the integrity of the certification process.

• Verification for Employers and Institutions: Charities, employers, educational institutions, and other parties can verify the authenticity of a certificate presented by our students on personal LinkedIn profiles. This adds credibility to the certification and assures the verifier that the recipient has indeed completed the course.

• Tracking and Record Keeping: It helps in maintaining accurate records of who has been awarded certificates. This can be useful for both the organisations using our training and the students who have completed it.

• Transparency and Trust: By providing a verification mechanism, Third Sector Academy increases trust in its certification process. Learners can confidently present their certificates, knowing that they can be easily verified by others.

• Ease of Access: The feature allows quick and easy access to verification, often by scanning QR code, or using a VC (Verification Code), that can be found on the certificate and Third Sector Academy platform (sign-in required). 

• Prevention of Misuse: It helps prevent the misuse of certificates by ensuring that only those who have legitimately completed the required work receive and can use the certificate.

How to verify a certificate?

To get started, please scan the QR code on the certificate, or using a VC (Verification Code), that can be found on the certificate and Third Sector Academy platform (sign-in required), visit public Verification Page to check the certificate’s validity. All certificates are available for learners on the Third Sector Academy (sign-in required).
